Military and Family life Counselor (MFLC)
The Military and Family Life Counseling Program supports service members, their families and survivors with non-medical counseling worldwide. Trained to work with the military community, military and family life counselors deliver valuable face-to-face counseling services, briefings and presentations to the military community both
on and off the installation.
Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) and Child and Youth Behavioral and Family Life counselors are Master's or doctorate level licensed counselors that provide a wide range of support to service members, military children and youth, family members and staff who work with children. Within RNE, MFLC services are available at no cost and provide non-medical short term counseling support to help military students with issues such as school adjustment, deployment and separation, reunion adjustment, sibling and parent-child communication, behavioral concerns and fear, grief, and loss. Services are private and confidential with the exception of mandated reporting or duty to warn situations.
For more details about the program, contact Mr. Reese Palmer at [email protected] or (803) 699-2800 Ext.79215. Additionally, please click on the brochure below. If you would like your student to participate in the program, please complete the consent form below and return it to Room E115C.
